The Aurora Community Band WANTS YOU!
If you took band in high school, this is a great opportunity to reconnect with your musical self and meet new people. Do you want to start to play again?
The ACB is a diverse group of over 40 musicians of all ages and from all walks of life who would love to have you join the band! Our season includes 3 formal concerts and local informal performances.
Requirements: some previous experience, a band instrument, and a music stand.
New members are welcome!
New members may join the band at the beginning of a Session in September or January. New members may sit-in for two rehearsals on a trial basis before committing to the band. Please contact the ACB even if it’s the middle of a session!
The ACB rehearses every Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Trinity Church in Aurora, ON. We have access to the building at 6:45pm and must exit by 9:15pm. Our season runs from September until June and includes two sessions - September to December and January to June. We have one formal concert per session and a variety of other local events that can be found here.
MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES
Attendance
Attendance is important as we only rehearse once a week. Each season runs for two sessions: September to February and February to June. Our season consists of weekly rehearsals and both formal and informal performances. Please see the events page for our performance schedule.

Equipment
Members are responsible for supplying their own instrument and music stand. Percussionists are asked to supply sticks and mallets.
Music
Once band members have paid their fees they will be given an embossed ACB Band Folder to be returned at the end of each session. Members may also purchase an ACB folder with their name embossed on the folder for $25.
Commitment to Performances
It is expected that band members make every effort to participate in all scheduled performances and festivals.
Concert Dress
Our concert dress will be all black: collared shirt, blouse, pants, or skirt.
Fees:
Full season (Sept + Feb sessions): $120.00
Full season student rate: $60.00
Single session (Sept-Feb or Feb-Jun): $70.00
